• "So, I'm Not Fired..."

  That's always a good place to start off at, isn't it?
  
  I had my work review today and that's how I always start my conversation with my mom, with any one, about my work review. Then who ever it is always says, "Is that the best you can say?!" I am happy to say that no, it is never the best I've have to say. Thankfully, I have a natural tendency to do my job, even when I have very little vigor for it.
  
  This last review was a life saver. I was ready to ask for references to help find a second job, when my boss brought up me helping more with facility rentals when my schedule opens up. Which is pretty much all the extra gung-ho I needed. While, yes, I do need extra money, but when your boss tells you she wants you to know more about the building operations... You need to focus on that job.
  
  I've seen other staff members focus more on other jobs then their job at the museum and I don't think it's right. They lack the focus they need to miss errors and to the best job they can. Not that it's wrong, but if by focusing my time and energy on even just a few extra hours of work or same hours, different avenue of work, I could be more valuable to the museum. Well, that just screams eventual hiring up.
  
  Eventual being the key word here.
  
  I'll still keep up trying to sell crafts, doing odd jobs (such as doing yard work or babysitting more often), and using -------*. I also won't miss a great opportunity if it comes up.
